01 2026 Earth Month Kickoff Fest - April 11th

Join us for a family friendly Earth Month Fest at the Indiangrass Preserve on Saturday, April 11th! Enjoy the beauty of prairie wildflowers, get your hands a little dirty helping transplant native plants, and explore the trails while spotting wildlife.

Earth Month Fest also marks the celebration of our newly renovated Katy Prairie Welcome Center. Over the past year, visitors may have noticed construction underway as our former field office was transformed. With the expanded Welcome Center now complete, we look forward to hosting more educational programming, volunteer opportunities, and community events that connect people with this remarkable landscape.

Bring your family and friends and spend the morning on the prairie. See a full list of activities below.
