Spring Wildflower Walk

• Tuesday, April 14 | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Indiangrass Preserve

• Join a guided walk along the Ann Hamilton Trail to learn how to identify native wildflowers and grasses during peak bloom.

Bagels & Bleats: Goat Grazing Workshop

• Thursday, April 16 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Williams Prairie

• Hear from CPC staff and goat herder Will Kearney about how targeted grazing supports prairie health, then walk the trail to observe the goats at work.

Beginner-Friendly Guided Bird Walk

• Friday, April 17 | 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM | Indiangrass Preserve

• Enjoy a relaxed, beginner-friendly birding experience with a guided walk through prairie habitat.

Foraging Workshop on the Katy Prairie

• Sunday, April 19 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Indiangrass Preserve

• Learn to identify and use edible and medicinal plants with a hands-on workshop led by Dr. Mark “Merriwether” Vorderbruggen.

We’re proud to share the Coastal Prairie Conservancy’s 2025 Annual Report!

Because of our incredible supporter community, we continued building momentum across southeast Texas. From conserving land at scale to improving habitat and expanding public access, 2025 was a year of meaningful progress.

As development accelerates in our region, so does the importance of conserving what remains of the coastal prairie and expanding the footprint of protected land while the opportunity still exists.
