Volunteer Orientation
Are you looking for an opportunity to do your part for the prairie? The Coastal Prairie Conservancy’s dedicated volunteers play a vital role in helping to protect and restore the coastal prairie while connecting with nature and a community of people who share a passion for conservation.
The Coastal Prairie Conservancy hosts Volunteer Orientations every February and September at the Indiangrass Preserve. These sessions are a great opportunity for both new and returning volunteers to learn more about CPC’s work, explore different ways to get involved, and build on existing skills.
During orientation, participants hear updates from CPC staff, learn about the history of the Katy Prairie and the ecology of the coastal prairie, and get an inside look at ongoing projects and volunteer opportunities. Whether you’ve volunteered once or for years, orientation is a fun and informative way to deepen your connection to the prairie and meet fellow conservation enthusiasts.
