Climate Change
Here at CPC, we talk about climate change and extreme weather events often. As we look around, we are all seeing and feeling the impacts of climate change more and more.
As noted by the Texas Tribune, extreme weather events, water scarcity, and risk of illnesses are some of the local impacts of climate change. Wildlife are feeling the stress as well. Farmers and ranchers see the impacts of extreme weather, including drought and flooding, more than ever.
But there’s good news.
Natural climate solutions, including prairies, woodlands and wetlands, and area farms and ranches can make a big difference by absorbing climate polluting gases and absorbing, slowing, and storing flood waters. Research has shown that if we act now, natural climate solutions like land conservation can help slow down climate change.
We care and we know you do, too.
Because of your interest in learning more about the impact of climate change, we thought you’d appreciate some additional information including respected sources regarding the issue. You are needed now more than ever. We are here to help.
