Preserve and Trail Use Policies
Foot Traffic Only: The trails on all Katy Prairie Preserves are designated for pedestrian use only. Please refrain from bringing bicycles, horses, or any motorized vehicles onto the trails. This helps protect the delicate flora and fauna of the preserve.
Stay on Designated Trails: To minimize impact on the environment, please remain on marked trails. Venturing off-trail can damage native plants and disrupt wildlife habitats.
Wildlife Observation: Keep a respectful distance from all wildlife. Do not feed or disturb animals, as this can alter their natural behaviors and habitat.
Leave No Trace: Please take all trash with you and leave the preserve as you found it. This includes biodegradable items like food scraps.
Respect Nature: Avoid picking plants or collecting natural materials. This preserve is a habitat for many species, and preserving it is essential for their survival.
Pets: Pets are not allowed on the preserve grounds in order to protect wildlife and preserve the natural environment.
