Unplugged Adventure: Plein Air Painting Workshop on the Katy Prairie

  • Indiangrass Preserve 31975 Hebert Road Waller, TX 77484 United States (map)

Join local artist, Nancy Paris Pruden, for an inspiring day of plein air painting at the Indiangrass Preserve. Fall brings some of the most delightful colors to the prairie, and Nancy's hands-on instruction will help you to bring these colors to life on your canvas.

The workshop will begin with a 1-hour color mixing demonstration and then cover composition. Participants will do a few small pencil sketches to decide on their composition and begin to block in the scene. After a break for picnic lunch, the class will resume as the sun moves to afternoon lighting and participants will enjoy about three hours of painting time.

$100 registration fee. Open to ages 12 and up.

*Class materials are available for $25 and include the use of easel, paints, and brushes along with a high quality canvas for the student to keep. You are welcome to bring your own materials if you prefer.
