Join us for a summer evening with wildlife biologists from Texas A&M University's Natural Resources Institute (NRI). They will lead us through a tutorial on the most common reptile and amphibian (i.e. herp) species found in our coastal prairie region. They'll also cover their recent research on the life history of the Western Chicken Turtle. We'll spend the second half of the evening out in the field, engaged in hands-on, field herpetology methods.

Please bring a camp chair, water bottle, outdoor clothing, mud boots or waders if you have them. Cameras and journals are welcome as well. Bring flashlights and backup batteries if staying to look for amphibians and reptiles.
