Join us for our monthly nature hike on the Katy Prairie! This month’s theme is “Sounds of Summer,” and we'll be making a sound map of the Indiangrass Preserve! Basic supplies will be available, but you’re welcome to bring your own nature journal if you have one.
Enjoy a guided hike through the prairie, exploring different areas each month
Observe and learn about wildflowers, insects, and birds
Finish with pond dip-netting at the prairie potholes
All ages are welcome. We'll start with a brief overview and safety talk. Please wear outdoor clothing including sun/insect protection and close-toed shoes (high socks/boots preferred). Please also bring a water bottle. Binoculars and cameras are welcome. Rain or shine!
No registration needed.
