Prairie Partner: REI Co-op

Group of people walking on trail.

Many of us know REI Co-op as the one-stop-shop for all of our outdoor gear needs, but they’re also one of the Coastal Prairie Conservancy’s important corporate partners! Funding from REI Co-op supports maintenance and enhancement of the Ann Hamilton Trail on the Indiangrass Preserve and comes directly from REI Co-op membership — just one of the awesome benefits of becoming a co-op member! We couldn’t keep this wonderful public amenity open for you without their support. The trail provides visitors with the chance to see a restored prairie/wetlands ecosystem up close and personal - complete with gorgeous native wildflowers and thrilling wildlife spotting. Thanks to corporate partners like REI Co-op, the Ann Hamilton Trail will remain beautiful and open for you!

REI Co-op’s support of the Coastal Prairie Conservancy extends beyond the Ann Hamilton Trail with their partnership at community events such as Putting Down Roots and Stewardship Saturday. By displaying the Coastal Prairie Conservancy: Just the Facts page and the 9 Natives for Sun brochure in their stores, REI Co-op is broadening the reach of our work to protect the wide-open spaces on which wildlife depend and our communities love. With partners like REI Co-op, the Coastal Prairie Conservancy will be able to continue providing public access to the coastal prairie and enriching educational programs that teach the importance of this ecosystem.

Please join us in thanking REI Co-op for its ongoing partnership on the coastal prairie. We look forward to working together in the year ahead on exciting projects that bring the prairie within reach for all of our communities.
